The moment I launched my first sortie in Ace Combat 7, I was immediately immersed in Strangereal’s detailed world. I chose to fly an F-14D Super Tomcat and took off down the runway, feeling the realistic acceleration as the jet lifted off into the sky. The controls were responsive yet forgiving, allowing me to focus on the main event – engaging enemy aircraft in intense dogfights.

My first mission placed me above the clouds, with the sun shining brightly all around. However, it wasn’t long before enemy planes appeared on my radar. I spotted several fighters in the distance and locked onto the closest target. A squeeze of the trigger launched missiles that found their mark in a fiery explosion. But there was no time to celebrate, as two more enemies dove in from above. I pulled back hard on the stick and kicked the rudders, spinning my Tomcat to face the new threats. A hail of cannon rounds and missiles took them out.
